Well-renowned British actor Richard E. Grant has provided a voice for upcoming animated feature film Zambezia.

Film Industry hosts Cape Town “Oscars”: Call for nominations opens for 2nd Annual Imbongi Awards

The Cape Film Commission and the City of Cape Town will be hosting the 2nd Annual Imbongi Awards to showcase and recognise excellence within the Cape Town and Western Cape film industry. The event will be held on Saturday, 6 March 2010, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Inaugural Durban FilmMart call for submissions

The first international film co-production market on the African continent will be held in Durban in July 2010. The FilmMart is a joint initiative of the Durban Film Office (DFO) and Durban International Film Festival (DIFF).  The organisers are calling for the submission of projects for consideration for the Durban FilmMart.

When The Simpsons started as a five-minute short in 1987, no one foresaw the show becoming such a huge success. 
 

Animation xChange is a community-driven initiative aimed at unifying the South African community. We hold social get-togethers on the second Thursday of every month in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Animators with vastly varied levels of experience share their work, their experiences and a few drinks.
