UNIMA SA’s Out the Box Festival of Puppetry & Visual Performance brings Cape Town the Moving Things Film Festival, a sumptuous audio-visual feast of rare and unusual stop-motion and puppetry films from South Africa and the world.

V International Festival of Animated Films, Visual Effects and Videogames. An event organized by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, directed and produced by film director Damián Perea; ANIMAYO's fifth edition will be celebrated in May of 2010 in the Canary Islands.

Animation xChange is a community-driven initiative aimed at unifying the South African community. We hold social get-togethers on the second Thursday of every month in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Animators with vastly varied levels of experience share their work, their experiences and a few drinks. Students are invited to show their projects and constructive criticism and input is given by all. Visit the website at www.animationxchange.org

Cape Town Xchange Wants You!

This month's event is postponed due to lack of manpower.

To continue the monthly tradition, AnimationXchange Cape Town is looking for dedicated volunteers to help run the event.

Our theme for this month is "Story & Storyboarding". Our speakers are Trish Malone, an international Script Development Consultant, and Daniel Snaddon, animation director at Bugbox.
