Come back to S.A or not?
Hi all.
Im new to this site. Ive been travelling europe for a bit over a year now, freelancing here and there and now working full time in gibraltar. But im contemplating coming back to s.a.
my girlfriend and I both graduated in design in sa at the end of 2008 and decided to pack up and leave. But, not only am I a little home-sick, but im getting really excited about the stuff coming out of S.A. It's really impressive and I've been contemplating coming back.
I'd like to post my work, and my cv and see if anyone can give me advice, whether I would get work in S.A, also, if my girlfriend as a graphic designer would get work in s.a.
Looking forward to hearing from the community.
Regards
trapt

IMHO, the industry is growing and I definitely agree with you that the quality of the work coming out of SA is fantastic.
There're a number of inspiring 3D, motion graphics and 2D companies both big and small in Jozi and CT and, at the end of the day, if you're good and passionate about what you do I'm sure you'd find work.
But putting your work and CV up on the ASA website is a great way to start in investigating and getting some feelers out there!
Good luck!

I moved back in late 2008, got a great job and I am loving being in CT with so much energy around me. Sure I miss some of the life I had back in the U.K. but to be close to family and a great lifestlye definately wins over.
