That would depend on your level of experience and the budget of the Job. To make life more easy, Rather focus on a overall fee as opposed to a daily rate. This way it works out more cheaply for whomever you are doing the job for and you are not at risk of pricing yourself out of the job. Be reasonable in your quote and make sure that it is worthwhile at the same time. I tend to charge a little more when it is only a short gig but if it works out to be over a longish period, ie a month, I try and charge a more salary esque type fee.
To put it into perspective, A company will generally charge their client roughly R 6000.00 a day for a senior animators sevice. So if you charge the company R 1100 a day you still make a very good and reasonable amount at the end of the Job. Bear in mind that Tax for a freelancer is 25 percent so you must also factor that in. Again, It all comes down to experience and Budget.
