Flight of Oswell

University work based on the poem 'Perdix' by Michael Longley. The poem illustrates the Greek myth of the innovative apprentice, Perdix and of his jealous master Daedalous. Daedalous pushes Perdix off the Acropolis to kill him. However, the goddess Athene intervenes and turns Perdix into a partridge, thus explaining why the partridge prefers to fly close to the ground.
